BREAKING - Amazon employs 100,000 workers to meet online shopping demand

According to Reuters, Amazon has announced on Monday that they will be employing 100,000 warehouse and delivery workers in the US to help the rising demand for online orders.


As physical stores are cleared out all across the globe (even just walk down to your local Woolies or Coles to experience it), there is a growing trend of online orders taking place. In America, this has resulted in Amazon increasing its minimum wage from $15USD to $17USD in an attempt to bring extra workers in to meet the demand.


As the globe is going into an economic downturn we can see clearly the upswing that occurs elsewhere. As online orders increase, so does the requirement for transport. Australia often reflects the trends of America, and so the next few weeks will be interesting to watch. Read the full story HERE
