The QLD Premier has made a statement this afternoon regarding border closure, and in regards to the movement of freight and transport in and out of the state, they are declared exempt.

"However, essential services, lawful businesses and trade will not be impacted. We will provide information to these people who regularly cross the border for work purposes and give them advice to how we can manage that so we can make it as seamless as possible."

An important factor, as detailed by ABC reporters, Freight will be exempt from these border restrictions.

"QLD borders to close from midnight Wednesday. As we mentioned earlier, the Queensland Government is following some of the other states in introducing new border restrictions.

They've now confirmed those measures will come into force on midnight Wednesday (essentially the early hours of Thursday).

As part of the restrictions, anyone entering Queensland will be required to quarantine themselves for 14 days after arrival. Authorities will convene in the coming days to establish how road-based restrictions can be placed along the state’s borders. Freight is expected to be exempt from the restrictions."

As long as transporters are abiding by the regulations set out by NSW Health they are not required to be stopped or self-isolate. - ALL drivers and employees of trucking business follow all the advice regarding health and safety measures to control COVID19 …. hand washing, wiping down of relevant surfaces and equipment

- Any driver or other employee who has been in contact with somebody with the virus MUST SELF ISOLATE for 14 days

- Truck operators MUST ENSURE this happens
